As A Child

As A Child

As a child

I wanted to know

how to be carried by love,

how to taste happiness,

how to cry.

I gave these questions to the world,

the world remained mute.

Years later,

love was waiting on the tip of a tongue,

happiness in the saltiness of the sea

and tears in the act of letting go.

This is why

I still ask for the impossible,

the world is fantastical.
